Developing Learning Progressions in Support of the New Science Standards: A RAPID Workshop Series

Principal Investigator:
Project Overview
Background & Purpose:

The Consortium for Policy Research in Education (CPRE) will organize a series of working meetings that will complement the development of new national science standards by developing a set of hypothetical learning progressions (LPs) that align with the core ideas identified in the new standards framework developed by the National Research Council. These hypothetical LPs will be based on a review of relevant research. These products should help states and their local districts revise standards, and select or design curriculum and assessments.

Other Products:

This project will produce hypothetical learning progressions for four core ideas from the NRC framework. These products will be based on a review of relevant research.
