Factors Influencing College Success in Mathematics

Project Overview
Background & Purpose: 

We will identify the materials and methods employed by high school mathematics teachers that predict performance of students in college calculus.

Setting: 

The research design for this project is cross sectional, and is designed to generate evidence that is associative/correlational, and causal using statistical modeling. This project collects original data using paper and pencil self-completion questionnaires. Analysis will include multiple linear regression to explain college calculus performance controlling for background variables through propensity weighting and other techniques.
